How to Make Lavender Lemonade

When our Project Invite team designed the Bonjour Bébé Collection in Lavender, we thought about all of the details {it was as if we were throwing our own baby shower!}  It is our pleasure to offer party planning ideas for all who use our collections, and that's why we came up with a recommended signature drink for our Bonjour Bébé Collection in Lavender.

Lavender lemonade is absolutely delicious.  Have you ever tried it?!  The best way to describe it, is that it tastes exactly as it smells; light, sweet, and flowery.

This recipe is easy peasy.  We thought it was going to be difficult {and very expensive} to get lavender locally, but lo and behold we found it five minutes away at our local Trader Joe's.  It only cost us about $5.99.

Lavender Lemonade Recipe:

First you are going to make a lavender simple syrup.  Here's what you will need:

  • 1/2 cup of fresh lavender flowers {make sure to rinse!} or a tablespoon of dried lavender flowers

  • 1 cup of sugar

  • 1 cup of water

  • 2 slices of lemon

Bring water, sugar, lavender flowers, and lemon to a boil.  Reduce to low heat, cover, and let simmer for 15 minutes (you can also let the syrup infuse for several hours.)

Strain the lavender-infused simple syrup and pour into a pitcher.

Next, you can use your favorite bottled lemonade or make fresh lemonade.  For fresh lemonade you will need:

  • 1 and 1/2 cups of fresh lemon juice

  • 2 cups of water

  • Sugar to taste

Combine the lemon juice, water, and sugar to taste.

Lastly, combine the lemonade to the lavender-infused simple syrup.  Add more sugar if not sweet enough.  Add ice and serve chilled.

Want it spiked?  Combine 1 shot of vodka, 3/4 shot of lavender-infused simple syrup, and 1/2 shot lemonade in a shaker with ice.  Shake and serve in a chilled martini glass.  Embellish with lavender flower stems.
